HydraFacial Prep: What to Do (and Skip) the Week Before

HydraFacial is a low-prep, no-downtime treatment, but a few small steps in the days before can noticeably improve results and reduce sensitivity during extractions.

    3–5 days before

Stop retinoids, retinol, glycolic acid, and any prescription topical treatments. These can leave skin sensitive during the peel step.

    Day before

Hydrate well. Avoid excessive sun exposure. Skip exfoliating cleansers and at-home peel pads.

    Day of

Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face if possible. Mention any active breakouts, cold sores, or recent procedures — your provider may adjust serums.
